Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR)

CAIR is a distributed South African research network across 9 universities, conducting foundational and applied AI research through 10 established research groups. It is a key pillar of South Africa's national AI strategy. Co-directed by Prof. Tommie Meyer, CAIR brings together researchers from across the country to collaborate on cutting-edge AI research. It serves as a hub for Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, machine learning, and other foundational AI areas.
