Data Science Africa (DSA)

Data Science Africa (DSA) is an independent academic research organization dedicated to building deep technical capacity across the continent. DSA bridges the gap between foundational AI theory and local context by pioneering research in African Language NLP, low-resource dataset collection, and edge computing for rural applications. Through its pan-African network of labs, annual research workshops, and open-source toolkits, DSA provides researchers with the platforms and methodologies needed to solve pressing regional challenges in agriculture, health, and climate adaptation using indigenous, data-driven solutions.
