Dr Hawa Nyende

Dr Hawa Nyende continues to play an influential role in AI and data science education at Makerere University. In 2025, she co-authored the MakOne dataset project, contributing to AI research while creating practical opportunities for students to engage in real-world machine learning applications. Her commitment to teaching, research, and student development has strengthened Uganda's growing AI talent pipeline.
