This award celebrates the university lecturer who has made AI education inside formal higher education genuinely excellent. University lecturers operate under constraints that bootcamp trainers do not — rigid syllabi, under-resourced labs, large class sizes, institutional bureaucracy, and students arriving with wildly varying mathematical foundations. The winning lecturer will have found ways to teach AI effectively despite these constraints — producing graduates who are genuinely job-ready, research-capable, or entrepreneurially minded. We are also looking for lecturers who have gone beyond the classroom: supervising final-year AI projects, connecting students to industry, publishing alongside their students, or advocating for better AI curricula within their institutions.

The project must demonstrate integration with real city infrastructure and tangible improvement in the quality of urban life

Best Public Sector AI Deployment

This award recognizes an organization within the broader public sector — beyond central government — that has successfully deployed AI to transform how it operates or delivers services. This includes public hospitals, public universities, state-owned enterprises, national utilities, revenue authorities, and public broadcasters.
